Saint John Vianney High School recently hosted a Business Pitch competition with participants from Holmdel High School, South River High School, and the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology.
Similar to a Shark Tank episode, teams presented their product ideas to a panel of judges, including Dr. Jennifer Edmonds from Georgian Court University, Maggie Nelson from the University of Delaware, Steve Balog of Merrill Lynch, and Matt Doherty of VillageMD.
Ten teams competed, showcasing impressive concepts.
1st Place went to SlickBrush, which is meant to simplify hair care and was created by SJV students Paulina Galas, Olivia Sullivan, Emily Scanlon, Julianna Paladino.
2nd Place went to SafeSert, which focuses on home fire safety and was created by SJV students Jack Robertson, Donald Daszkowski, Jason Kayne, Solomon Sukkarieh.
3rd Place went to Negotimate, a negotiation aid created by Holmdel High School students Aviel Lempert, Maksim Shamuradow, Maxim Gulko, David Chertok.
